New Beginnings Baby Café Open House Set for Aug. 23
To celebrate National Breastfeeding Month, New Beginnings Baby Café will hold an open house “birthday party” from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 23. The event will take place outdoors in the picnic area just west of Brookings Hospital’s ER entrance. Cupcakes and punch will be served.
Marissia Schaefer, CNP, Joins Arlington Medical Center
Family Nurse Practitioner Marissia Schaefer, CNP, will become the new primary care provider at Arlington Medical Center. The community is invited to meet and welcome Schaefer during an open house on Wednesday, Aug. 17 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Arlington clinic.

‘Mini Facelifts’ Now Available at Näva Medical Spa
Näva Medical Spa, Brookings Health System’s aesthetic medicine clinic, now offers polydioxanone (PDO) thread lifts to help tighten loose skin on the jaw, cheek and neck area without surgery. Sometimes referred to as a mini facelift, the procedure uses dissolvable sutures to tighten and lift sagging skin.

On June 28 representatives from Brookings Health System and Team Isaac gathered to dedicate New Beginnings Birth Center’s nursery in honor of Isaac Scot Hemmestad, the son of Team Isaac founders Jason and Amber Hemmestad. The Isaac Scot Nursery recognizes the funds given to Brookings Health System Foundation by Team Isaac.
