Outpatient treatment, also referred to as chair care, allows people who need procedures such as IV infusions, injections or dressing changes to receive them close to home rather than needing to travel to another location to receive care.
Outpatient treatment is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, allowing patients to schedule their treatments when it is convenient for them. Care staff are prepared to administer treatments to patients upon their arrival, keeping wait times to a minimum.
The outpatient treatment area is a dedicated space where each patient has their own recliner, an overhead scene panel, and a TV to help pass the time while they receive treatment.
Referral is required to setup outpatient treatment. Ask your physician to help you schedule your outpatient treatment at Brookings Health System.
