Tenth Annual EMS Rodeo Scheduled for May 23
In recognition of National Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week, Brookings Health System’s Ambulance Service will hold their tenth annual EMS Rodeo on Tuesday, May 23 from 12 to 2:30 p.m. at Hillcrest Park.
The event is free to the public and includes a picnic with grilled hamburgers, inflatable games, face painting and ambulance tours. In addition, EMTs and paramedics will teach attendees hands-only CPR.
National EMS Week, May 21-27, honors the dedication of EMTs, paramedics, first responders, and others who provide lifesaving services to our community.
“Access to quality emergency care dramatically improves the survival and recovery rates of those who experience sudden illness or injury,” said Chief Nursing Officer Tammy Hillestad. “Our team of emergency medical technicians and paramedics are always ready to provide compassionate, lifesaving care to those in need 24 hours a day, seven days a week.”
