Popular Safe Sitter Class to be Offered at Brookings Health System this Summer
Brookings Health System will once again offer the popular Safe Sitter Class this summer. The first session is scheduled for May 30-31, and the second session is scheduled for Aug. 2-3. Classes are from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. in hospital conference rooms A and B.
The Safe Sitter Class is recommended for 11- to 13-year old boys and girls who are interested in babysitting and working with younger children. Education includes first aid and CPR.
Participants will need to attend both days during a session and should pack a sack lunch for their noon meal. Parents may attend a completion ceremony at the end of day two. Participants will also receive an informational packet for at-home parent education.
Cost is $50; children whose parents work at Brookings Health System may attend for $25. Currently, there is a wait list for the May class, but openings are still available for the August class. To register, please contact Heidi Faehnrich at (605) 696-8811 or email@example.com.
