Employees Give Brookings Health System High Engagement Marks
Brookings Health System’s most recent employee engagement survey, conducted by independent research firm Integrated Healthcare Strategies, gives the health system high engagement marks from employees.
An employee engagement survey measures employees’ emotional commitment to an organization and its goals, passion and pride for their work, and willingness to go above and beyond in their work.
Brookings Health System conducted the survey this past spring with 81 percent of employees responding. According to the survey, employees rated Brookings Health System’s engagement 5.15 out of 6 points, well above the national average for health care employee engagement.
“In health care, engaged employees deliver high quality care and positive patient and resident experiences,” said CEO and President Jason Merkley. “Brookings Health System cares about our employees and is proud of our workforce and the high quality, compassionate, personalized care our team delivers to our community.”
