Davidson Appointed to Brookings Health System Board of Trustees
Bill Davidson, former director of national accounts for Daikin Applied and former vice president of business development at Trane, was recently appointed to Brookings Health System’s Board of Trustees.
“I believe my involvement will be a positive influence on supporting the strategic direction of health care in our county and community. My business and personal background should help provide a positive impact for the direction of the health care system,” says Davidson.
A long-term Brookings resident, Davidson was previously elected and served as a Brookings city council member from 1999 to2001 when the city transitioned from a commission to a council-based form of government. He played a key role in developing governance infrastructure, policy and strategy for the community, hiring the first city manager and participating in many major city projects. He currently serves on the Brookings Regional Humane Society Board.
Davidson is a graduate of the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology mechanical engineering program. He has extensive global leadership experience and also holds certifications in the energy services area for demand side management, certified energy engineer and business energy professional.
Davidson fills a county-appointed position; his term will expire Dec. 31, 2020.
